Press bios are dumb. Figure out your own version of me. This is mine:

I’m 38. I consider my dogs, Rory and Hachi (RIP), my children. I make music that I think is actual genius. I love it and I hope you do too. It’s weird, unpredictable, catchy, generally loud even when quiet, and I hold very few lyric writers in higher esteem than myself — Aaron Weiss, Yoni Wolf, David Berman, Tim Kasher, Isaac Brock, Jeff Mangum, and TMBG being critical exceptions. There are many better songwriters than myself and my opinion isn’t yours anyways :D I believe in trying to make the most authentic thing I can and allowing the music to write itself with as little influence from me as possible. I believe health care, housing, and food should be rights, and that capitalism is a prison we need to collectively unshackle from. I really hate a lot of things and love many things too much, but boy do I fucking hate bigots and systems of control.

I’m in the middle of an artist refresh/site relaunch coming in July 2026. Enjoy what you find here, and sign up if you want more news in the meantime. It’s all gonna change pretty significantly in ways that I’m excited about, with the goal of making everything more community oriented and accessible.
